sleep time!!!

It's sleep time for little Ashraf ... but even in his sleep, he still is very active that he can no longer sleep in his own bed. He roams around in his sleep and his own bed is too small for him ... see below, the many different sleeping positions and see how he moves about in the span of one night ....

It started like the above with Ashraf in between his Abi and Ummi ... then ...
he turns to the side and decides to be closer to the pillow instead ... then
he prefers the other pillow and so he turns again ...
Nope ... not a comfortable sleeping position ... he decides to make a 180 degrees turn and sleep ...

So what happens to his Abi and Ummi ... either we keep waking up and turn him to the original position or we just follow him and change our sleeping positions. Well ... since you can't beat him ... join him ...

Alhamdullilah... Praises to Allah all mighty.. for his generousity and blessing... Ashraf have grown to be quite an active baby.
Yet Ashraf developments ... are genuinely his friendliness & active observation to his surroundings... and of course... healthy competition among his similar age group... as well

Ashraf Cukur Rambut

It's a tradition for muslim to practice ... "Cukur rambut"...which means.. hair triming. It's usually done for newborn or infant, form of appreciation to Allah blessing in providing the couple for a healthy baby and may we wish for better prosperity and future continous health.
In Ashraf case, it's rather overdue but it's better late than never. : )




Ashraf appears abit daze... See how comfortable Ashraf is, infact his behaviour during the whole ceremony was well behaved.
Ashraf did joined in the quran recitation at times... until he doze off at Abi's lap.... ; )

Anyway, Ashraf need a real haircut after this, his hair beginning to thicken and cause him to look rather messy at times..

He have started consume food by spoon feeding.
Biscuits, porridge, nestum, cream puff, bread, fruit juice, papaya...

Ironicly, there's so much to update of ashraf progress...

PS: Moral of the story ... do not leave your newspaper around for little Ashraf to pry or tear the pages out. It's little wonder why this newspaper page survived his hands :P this goes for all books as well. So beware ... wonder if this is a sign of him being a book lover like his Ummi or otherwise ...

One, one present ...

Okay, let's count the number of cars ... One, two, three, four, five, six ... six little cars ... Hah Hah Hah. See ... I am starting to learn how to count like Count Dracula!
Now, let's count the number of worms ... how many worms do I have in my hands?
Here I am ... with my learning corner that Abi & Ummi has set up for me ... so now I slowly learn to count ... soon I wonder what will I learn ...

little curious mind

One day, Iwas crawling around the living room. Then suddenly I saw something in the distance. I decided to have a closer look and crawled nearer and nearer.

Hmm, that looks yummy ... Ummi was smiling when she was eating it ... I wonder what is it? I want to have a taste too. Yum ... yum
Here I am, having a bit of taste of what Ummi is having. Hmm ... nice and sweet. It turned out to be ice cream!!! Heheh ... so now I know how ice cream taste like ... will clamour for one when opportunity arises ...

Ashraf Updates

Many apologise for not updating my blog. Was tied down with lots of work, courses and to top it up, the flu bug has gotten to most of us ... Here are the updates in short ...
Here is Ashraf with his Jawi flash cards ... call us ambitious ... but we would like him to know that there are other languages too beside English, Malay and Chinese ...

"Abi, Abi ... what happens if I pull this wire? Will the laptop still work?"
"Come Abi ... you should do it this way. Let me show you ..." See how enthusiastic Ashraf each time he got his hands on laptops or keyboards. Serious!!! So his poor Abi can't do his work and cringe each time Ashraf press some keys on the keyboard ... heheh ...
Ashraf was down with flu last Monday together with his Umi ... so both of us were down with flu and had mc. However, Ashraf has developed fever last Thursday ... his temperature was 38.8 degrees celsius so both Abi and Ummi were on standby on Friday to take care of him. Syukur Alhamdullilah, his temperature went down and he was just a bit cranky. Today ... he showed a bit of his old self ... grinning and babbling away ... let's pray for his speed recovery. Amin

Ashraf's baby sister

Whatever we do, we must be thankful. Once again, Allah has blessed my family by insyaÁllah, a new addition to the family. Yes, I am pregnant again. According to the scan I had last week, Ashraf might be having a little sister by the end of this year ... So if you see me on the street with a bulging tummy ... you know why :)

Any suggestions for baby girl names? I am open to suggestions?

Remembering a dear fren ...

Got the shock of my life when Ilah called to pass me the news. Disbelief and sadness took over when I finally got hold of the Berita Harian with news of our fren, Allahyarham Roslan has passed away in a road accident.

Back in secondary school, he was a spunky person with a cheery eyes. Reading the articles brought back many memories ... sure had some setbacks but reading on how he worked 2 jobs to support his family ... syukur Alhamdullilah ... he was a fillial son. And he passed away while he was working. Semoga Allah mencucuri rahmat keatasnya ... ringankan beban keluarganya.

One by one, people I know passed away, be it young or old ... when is our turn?

Visiting Mak Ngah

Ashraf just visited Nek Ngan and it turned out that Nek Long was around too ... He is ... being the centre of attraction ... getting attention from everyone :)

Tok Uda also cannot resists carrying him ... heheh ... it comes to the point Ashraf kept smiling at Tok Uda ... the secret, Tok Uda brought him 'jalan-jalan' outside :P

Baby on Wheels!!!

Drivers out there ... beware!!! Heed this warning for this little baby has gained his license and will be driving on the roads in the near future (more like 18 years from now ... :P) but hey ... you will never know!

Deutscheland Fever!!!

Ole ... ole ... ole ... ole ... ole ... Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! Germany goes to Semi-Finals!!! World Cup fever has descended not just in teens or adults' world. It has also descend in babyland!!! Yes ... See how happy little Ashraf is ... from head to toe ... in tune with soccer literally!

Well ... before starting any games, one must always warm up first, right ... here is Ashraf doing some pumping before the game starts!

Here is Ashraf's full set ... many, many compliments to Abah Long who went to watch the quarterfinal matches in Germany (yes ... in person ... lucky person, right!!! Right smack within the action!!!) and brought back many goodies ... especially the whole jersey set for dearest Ashraf ... looks like I have to get a set too ... then can wear together as a family ...

So what's ahead now ... Argentina is out, Brazil is out ... England is out (but they are not playing well this time ... too many promises & all) ... with the many big players out (not including Englang) is out ... Germany stands a wonderful chance of reaching the finals ... heheh then Ashraf will don the full jersey once again in full glory!!! Ole ... ole
