Due any time now

Eidilfitri has finally arrived ... and once again we meet the month of Shawal. And once again, it comes to the period when I am due to deliver any time soon. According to my gynae, I am due any time soon but it's life as per normal for me. Will continue with my duties in school ... no more classes, just being on standby for invigilation and preparing for the little new member of the family.
InsyaƁllah, we will be naming our little princess Siti Aisyah. I know that many of my friends named their princess Aisyah ... but we are smitten with the simplicity of the name. It just simply and pure. Get what I mean??? So I went online and look for the meaning ... this is what I get from http://www.muslim-names.co.uk/muslim-baby-girl-names-A-4.html.
Aisyah means ...
Life, Vivaciousness, Living Prosperous, Youngest wife of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Budding musician

Ashraf has received his first birthday present ... very early birthday present, courtesy of his Atuk Yusof who brought it all the way from Malacca. For days, Ashraf has been playing with the box ... so today, we decided to give in to his curiosity and open it up.
Putting it all together wasn't an easy task. Ashraf was impatient and butts in the setting up process. Finally ... all put together and here it is, Ashraf's first performance!!!
Clap, clap, clap!!!
He poses with his organ before starting on the keyboard. He even move his body up and down following the tune ... moving to the groove, you see
Here is Ashraf playing around with the settings .... and checking with the speaker using his palm ...
Here he shows his cousins how to set the keyboard and playing with the keys to show the effects :)
Now is Ashraf at work ... with his little keyboard ... he has yet to see the microphone. Wait till we plug it in tomorrow ...
In short, Ashraf shows lots of interest in the keyboard ... (he better start practising to show his Atuk) so will he be a budding musician ... As he is, he is already playing around with his Uncle Haziq's guitar.
Should I enrol him in Yamaha Music School???

Adorable little Ashraf :)

I can't take enough photos of little Ashraf ... here he is at the gate, standing on his own using the pillars as support. But I simply can't resist his smile and different faces ... too bad, the photos aren't sharp enough but you can't miss his smile and laughter :)
Sticking his little toungue out!
Next come his laughter ...
And here more laughter ...

He sure is very spunky and happy little kid. Very happy when he has achieved what he wants ... in this case, standing up from a crawling position. Seems like he like to pose too ... and he does it well ... very, very much better than his mom :P

Reaching for the tops ...

Little Ashraf has been practising and practising ... you may be wondering, practising for what !!! Well ... he has started to grasp onto things and pulling himself up. You know what this means??? He will walking soon ... GASP!!! Jeng Jeng Jeng ...
Here is little Ashraf, climbing up using the plastic chair as support. But notice his left hand is touch the table top ... wonder what is he reaching for on the table??? Cookies??? Munchies???
Now with the other hand, he reached for the table top ... not to mention being on tip toe too ...
Opps ... caught in the act!!! Managed to catch his face from the top ... and guess what happens next???
Here he is ... putting his hand down after being caught ... hee hee hee ...

Play time ...

Ashraf just got some new toys ... here he is with his new blue ball ... sure very possesive of it too ... Some snapshots of him playing with his kakaks ...
Come Ashraf ... pass me the ball ... Let Kakak Aliyah teach you how to play ...
Okay ... pass it to me, Ashraf ... said Kakak Hannis ...
And here he is, catching onto the game very fast ... throwing the ball to his Kakaks ... though not so high ...

Cheese!!!

Cheerful little Ashraf is ever ready to take photos ... even in the wee hours of morning when everyone is about to get up for Sahur ... even with his pacifier ... the twinkle of his eyes ... sigh ...
Yes ... my Abi is back!!! Back from his long trip to Geneva. See how happy I am ... I don't care if he's sleeping ... I do want my Abi to hug me at all cost!!! Yippee!!!
Trademark smile ... sigh ... melts his parents' heart ... does your heart melt too?

Ashraf @ work

Eh ... I am busy here and you wanna take my pictures!!!
Okay, go ahead ... take photos. I need to learn how the walker supports itself. Hmm ...
Ashraf is seriously very active now. To the point that we cannot leave him alone for fear that he will get into mischief. Being the walker, he will just zoom by. Seriously zoommmmmmm by you to the other side of the room. Otherwise he will reach out for something to pull himself up to a standing position. Too bad, the walker is mobile so there was no way Ashraf can pull himself up. Will try to grab photos of that happening though!!! Promise

On another note, it seems like his little sibling or sister is as active as her brother. Simply could not keep still and it is very distracting when I am in the midst of work ... She will response to the sounds around her. May Allah protect my little one in my tummy and that everything will run smoothly. The expected delivery date is somewhere in November. For me, I hope she will be another Nisfu Syawal baby like her brother Ashraf.

What's he doing?

Hmm, where is this photo taken? Any takers? Under the chairs and tables ... he just loves crawling under these furnitures and put his head down. Not sure if he is posing or not ... but one thing for sure, he sure knows how to make spaces his playground :)
He just crawled the opposite direction and once again, he put his head down ... sigh ... adorable:

Standing on his own 2 feet???

Ashraf is holding onto the cupboard, you see ... without his support, the cupboard will fall. Hee hee hee ... in actually fact, Ashraf is slowly getting onto his 2 feet after some time, crawling commando style (with his 2 hands). Here he is, with one hand on the bolster and pushing himself up.
Opps ... he's slidding down ...
But hey ... it's all part and parcel of Ashraf's life. With gusto, he attempts one more time and this time, he made it!!! Alhamdullilah!!! Hip hip hooray ...
Sigh ... isn't he adorable. I wonder how his sister will look like. Eh ... ever wonder what time does this happen??? This is right before bedtime. Last morning, he was up from 1.30 to 3.30 am, trying to push himself up. Hmm ... how much more before he will start walking??? Any ideas???

so what has been happening ...

Hmm ... so what has been happening in Little Ashraf's world??? Let the pictures do the talking ...
What's so interesting about this picture??? Look at his feet! He's trying to aim for the remote control at the back of the walker on the coffee table.
Caught in the act of escaping from his walker!!! He actually used the support beams of his walker to push himself out of the walker. Now you must be wondering, has he been successful? Almost ... when he is in the walker, everyone is on full alert, just in case he realll pushes himself out of the walker. There were some near misses ... he was already halfway on the coffee table, with one hand on the fish bowl. Don't worry ... no fishes were harmed during that ordeal.
